How To Apply for a New Kenyan Smart Driving Licence

The National Transport And Safety Authority (NTSA) launched a new smart Kenyan driving license. To apply follow the following steps:

1. Create an NTSA TIM account

First you need to create an NTSA TIM platform.

2. Go to the NTSA headquarter

The headquarter is at upper hill Nairobi (former world bank). The offices are open from 8 a.m to 5 p.m.

You start at the ground floor where you are issued with a slip of paper with a date indicated. Then you give it to the person at the information desk.

3. Confirm details

Log in to your NTSA TIMS account with an NTSA Agent. They will confirm your personal details which includes your blood group type info.

4. Make payment

After your details are confirmed you are required to make a payment of Ksh. 3,050 for your new smart Kenyan driving license via Mpesa.

5. Biometrics and signature

You need to take a digital picture, then they will take your biometrics and signature.

6. Printing

Your license will be printed.

7. Validation

Finally, validation of the license.
