Startimes Slashes Premium Classic Bouquet Price by Massive 50 Percent

To uphold its mission to make digital entertainment affordable, Startimes, a pay Television Company has launched two bouquet campaign that will go a long way in the fine competitive margins of the business.

Startimes has introduced a Classic Bouquet targeting its digital terrestrial television (DTT)customers and a Smart Bouquet for its Direct-To-Home television (DTH) customers repackaged and affordable to offer them quality content.

The restructuring of its terrestrial package will focus on three key subscriptions Nyota Basic and Classic as the premium bouquet. The Classic bouquet will now be retailing at Sh749 per month, a 50% former top subscription package Unique priced at Sh1499. This premium package has been buffed up with six additional channels, including National Geographics, Fox, Baby TV, Star Plus, ST Movies Plus.

“Startimes subscribers have a stronger proposition. We reduced the cost of our bouquet by 50% and added six more channels to give our Classic Bouquet subscribers, value for their money,” said Japhet Akhauli Startimes Director of Marketing and Public Relations.

Classic Bouquet comes with an OTT(App)card bundling, that syncs with the decorder enabling subscribers to watch on their smartphones for free, once they download the app from google play store. This platform also allows flexible payment option.

Nyota and Basic bouquets priced at Sh259 and Sh599 respectively per month while Unique bouquet subscribers will be automatically moved to the Classic Bouquet with the option of joining Startimes DTH platform.

Under the Smart Bouquet Campaign, the broadcaster offers Kenyans a Startimes Satellite  TV service for Sh3999 inclusive of a Combo decoder with both DTT and DTH reception capabilities and a one-month Super bouquet. The Satellite television platform will still have three options of Nova, Smart and Super retailing at Sh499 Sh899 and Sh1499 respectively.

Customers will still be able to subscribe daily weekly and monthly on both DTT and DTH. DTT subscribers can pay for as little as Sh25 on Nyota, Sh60 on Basic and Sh85 on Classic while DTH subscribers can pay Sh40 for Nova, Sh85 for Smart and Sh125 for Super bouquets.

To upgrade its customers on both platforms, monthly recharge on any of the bouquets guarantees subscribers seven days to enjoy the next higher bouquet at no extra cost.
