Humanity is at the verge of losing its mind. That constant hunger for power fame and wealth has driven mortals off a high cliff, motivating them to defy integrity and bury their heads into the ritual.
Tanzanian businessman was arrested on Saturday by police for selling his six-year-old daughter whose life was terminated for her body parts to be used in a ritual magic potion that could make him filthy rich.
“The body was found decapitated and with the right foot amputated. The motive of this murder was monetary. The father of the deceased took his daughter to a businessman for USD2,000 (Sh200,000) for her to be killed and her right foot amputated. The businessman was meant to give the foot to a healer so that he would make a product which would make him (the father) prosperous,” said the statement, adding the foot was found buried nearby.
The cold-hearted businessman admitted his heinous act and the police officer are still hunting for the healer who was involved in the ritual.
Witch doctor business in Tanzania has been booming over the years. In January at least 10 children aged between two and ten years old were found dead in Mbeya, the region of Njombe in what local media reported were ritual killings.
In 2015, more than 200 witch doctors and traditional healers were arrested by the Tanzania government in a crackdown on the murder of albino people, that had become rampant. The killings were driven by the belief, advanced by some witchdoctors, that the body parts have properties that confer wealth and good luck.
Some of those arrested were found in possession of items like lizard skin, warthog teeth, ostrich eggs, monkey tails, bird claws, mule tails, and lion skin. Although the government of Tanzania bans witch doctors as part of its efforts to prevent further attacks and kidnappings targeting people with albinism and minors, some of them have to know how to get away with murder without being caught.
