QNET Spirit Of Ramadhan Benefits Needy Community In Kenya

QNET Social Responsibility

In the Holy Month of Ramadhan, QNET, a global e-commerce business, showered love, compassion and kindness through donations to the less-privileged communities across Africa in line with its tradition and commitment to social responsibility.

Driven by the philosophy of ‘Raise Yourself to Help Mankind’ where they organize annual campaigns to help enhance the lives of many less fortunate families and children, by providing them with necessities such as food, drinks and financial assistance for educational and humanitarian purposes.  The donations and money are given to orphanages, Muslim communities, educational charities and the charity offices of Chief Imams.

“QNET has been consistent over the years. The Ramadhan charity campaign is one of the ways we reach out to society to help people. As we make progress in our business, we believe in spreading the joy and fulfilment that comes with it. It is indeed a very meaningful, heart-warming and fulfilling initiative for QNET. It empowers people, demonstrates love to communities and is also inspiring for our staff and our Independent Representatives, as they become personally involved in enriching the lives of others. Our business objective is all about creating opportunities for people, making lives better and empowering people to help them live an absolute life. We call that Absolute living,” commented Biram Fall, QNET’s Regional General Manager for sub-Saharan Africa.

QNET Spirit of Ramadhan

In Kenya this year, QNET donated foodstuff including rice, beans, maize flour, cooking oil, soft drinks and water worth over USD 4,500 to Tree House Children’s Home in Ruaraka, Nairobi. Upon receiving the donation, administrator of Tree House Children’s Home Nicholas Omondi mentioned that the donation will go a far way in providing needed food and other requirements for the 56 children residents at the centre.

“We thank QNET for this generous donation and call on other companies to emulate this gesture in line with the spirit of charity and empowerment. The donation will help this facility meet its numerous daily requirements, we remain indebted,” he appreciated.

Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility West Africa last year awarded QNET as the “E-Commerce CSR Company of the Year” for its commitment to helping society and creating positive change. Kenya is among Senegal, Cameroon, Tanzania, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Guinea, Ivory Coast and Ghana, who received donations from QNET on Ramadhan.
