A minor is fighting for her life at a level four hospital in Nyandarua following a bizarre incident that victimised her. The class eight girl from Kaaga Primary School was defiled by a man who also attempted to take away her life.
The wicked man dug a hole that granted him access to the girl’s wooden house where he committed a heinous act, that saw the girl admitted in the hospital in a coma.
According to Nyandarua Health Chief Officer Dr Jorum Muraya, the 14-year-old girl is in critical condition, traumatized and cannot talk while the suspect disappeared in the thin air.
“Our staff is working to stabilize her condition. She is not in a good state,” said Dr Muraya.
Kagaa Primary School chairperson Simon Gitonga said drugs abuse in the community has been compromised education standards, with a high rate of school dropouts being witnessed. He painted the tainted victim as a bright candidate at the school.
Her mother is said to have collapsed when she woke up and found her daughter writhing in pain, and learnt of what had been done to her. Angry residents took it to the public to heavily protest against the rise of crime in the area which they attribute to increasing drugs abuse, following this recent incident.
Residents also pointed out that several girls and women have been sexually abused in the area, including a Class Seven girl who got pregnant after being defiled.
Bhang has been the main course of disharmony in that community as of was being sold openly with the knowledge of security officers whom residents claimed are in the syndicate with the drug peddlers.
