Now an Upfield brand of margarine, cheese spread, and vegetable fat spreads, Blue band has today introduced three new products in the market to meet its customers’ demand and while at it satisfying their tastes and preferences.
To its original Blue band spread, the brand has now added, peanut butter, mayonnaise, and canola oil. Grown at the foot at the foothills of Mount Kenya, Canola oil is a cholesterol-free product rich in Omega 3, 6, and 9, a healthy option for salads and shallow frying. The new Blue band peanut butter is preservatives free, a quality product for spreading cooking baking and topping, while the new mayonnaise product is rich is made of natural ingredients, enriched with Omega 3 and 6 as well guaranteeing long-lasting freshness and natural taste to meals.
At this day and age, where many Kenyans are psyched up about the idea of culinary skills and trying out new recipes, popular Chef Raphael best know for redefining home cooking and promoting African cuisine through his Facebook posts and Youtube Channel says he is excited to try out these new Blue band products and has already come up with some creative recipes.
“I have been receiving more and more questions about the content I have on Youtube. The whole of last year I decided t consistently do videos on recipes and food with brands. Ideally, I want to work with a brand for a long term basis while I churn out my content and recipes, in the business aspect
“With a brand on board, while I am doing recipes using their products, I am able to connect the brand to the audience. With these three new products, there is a lot in terms of recipes that one can come up with. Already I have some recipes that I have created with local dished. I have made githeri using peanut butter, I have made a cake using blue band, oil and the icing on top with peanut butter, I have also made spaghetti with one of the products” he said.
Chef Raphael said he is looking to initiate more and more people to try out the different recipes with these new Blue Band products.
