How to Replace a Kenyan National ID Card

The first Huduma Centre was  Launched at GPO Nairobi on November 2013. It was established to help people access or pay government services using electronic means. Huduma Centre has made things easy and faster when it comes to service provision. There are 45 Services offered by Huduma Centre. ID cards are one of them.

If you have lost your ID card replacement is very easy. You only have to visit the police station and report you lost your ID and there, you will be issued with a police abstract. An abstract is issued free of charge. Then you need to visit the nearest Huduma Centre and inform them you want to replace your ID. Carry with you a copy of your ID card and the Police Abstract. You will be issued with a waiting card.

Huduma Centre offices are open on Monday to Friday from 8 a.m to 5 p.m.
